About Pokequizz

Lucky Egg, one Pokémon hidden among all 1025

Lucky Egg is the one Pokequizz mode where knowledge does not help. One Pokémon is hidden among all 1025, drawn inside an egg that stays in play until someone finds it. Every wrong pick is crossed off the board for everyone, and the first player to find it wins an avatar. No clue, no logic: just luck, yours and everyone else's.

One board shared by the whole community

All 1025 Pokémon are shown generation by generation. When a player tries a Pokémon and misses, it is greyed out for every player on the site. The board empties as the tries go by, and each try has better odds than the last: with 400 Pokémon already crossed out, there is a 1 in 625 chance of hitting it.

The Live feed shows the latest tries as they happen, with the player's name and the Pokémon picked. You can watch the board shrink and see right away when someone finds it.

Two tries a day with an account, one without

A signed-in player gets two tries a day, a visitor without an account gets one. A visitor who creates an account keeps the try already used and can play the second one right away. Tries reset at midnight, Paris time, and count across every egg of the day.

There is no end date. As soon as the Pokémon is found, a new egg forms right away, with a new hidden Pokémon, a full board and a new prize.

What you can win

The prize of the current egg is shown at the top of the page: an avatar drawn at random from the starters, the Sprint, Criterion and Focus avatars, the shiny versions, Gengar's Party form and the Weekly legendaries (Party forms included), all with the same odds. If the winner already owns the prize shown, another avatar they do not have is drawn for them.

A visitor without an account who finds the Pokémon has the prize set aside and collects it by creating an account. The list of past winners, with the avatar each one won, stays visible under the board. Lucky Egg counts neither for the leaderboard nor for day streaks.
