Pokequizz is an unofficial fan quiz game, available on the pokequizz.com website and in the Pokequizz mobile app for iOS and Android. This policy covers both the website and the app.
Data controller: Yuna Analytics SARLAU, a single-member limited liability company (SARL AU) incorporated under Moroccan law with a share capital of 100,000 dirhams, registered office at 77 rue Mohamed Smiha, étage 10, n°57, Casablanca (Casablanca-Anfa), Morocco, registered with the Casablanca Trade Register under no. 719233 (ICE 003916516000073) and represented by its manager, Mamoun Zemmama. Yuna Analytics operates the website and publishes the app on the App Store and Google Play. Company contact: contact@yuna.ma.
For any question or request about your data, write to contact@pokequizz.com. To delete your account, see the deletion page.
You can play without an account, on the website and in the app. No name or email address is asked for, but some data is still processed:
In the iOS app, the ad-free option is bought from Apple, which processes the payment: we never receive your payment details. To recognise your entitlement, the technical identifier of your Pokequizz account is sent to RevenueCat, our purchase management provider, which receives the history of these purchases from Apple. The Android app offers no purchases.
If you report a bug through the website's form, your message is stored with technical details that help fix it: the page you were on, your browser, your screen size, the latest technical errors from the site and, if you provide one, a reply email address. If you are signed in, you can attach a screenshot. It is stored privately and is visible only to the team.
If you report another player's username, we store your account, the reported player, their username at the time of the report and the reason you chose, in order to handle the report (rename, ban or dismiss). If you hide a player, the list of players you have hidden is stored on your account to remove them from your leaderboards.
If you allow notifications in the app (account required), it can send you three reminders, at your device's local time:
Each one can be turned off separately in the app settings. You get at most two a day, never between 10 pm and 9 am. To send them, we store with your account your device's notification token, the platform (iOS or Android), the app language, the device time zone and your notification choices, along with a log of sent notifications (type, date and delivery receipt) so that the same notification is never sent twice. To decide whether a reminder is useful, the server checks your game data already on record (today's games, Daily Challenge, streak). Notifications go through the Expo Push service (Expo), then Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) or Apple Push Notification service (iOS).
When it crashes, the app may send Sentry a technical report (error, app version, device model and operating system), without IP address or identity and with sign-in tokens removed. At launch, it asks Expo's servers whether an update is available, which sends them your IP address and the app version.
Card purchases on the website go through Stripe, which receives the payment details you enter with it. For each order we keep the product bought, the amount and currency, the date, the status (paid, refunded or disputed) and Stripe technical identifiers (customer, payment, subscription), never a card number.
The app is free and shows an ad banner provided by Google AdMob. On first launch, where the law requires it, Google's consent form asks whether you accept personalised advertising. On iOS, the app then asks you, once, for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency): without your permission, the device's advertising identifier is not accessible.
To select and show ads, measure their delivery and fight fraud, AdMob processes in particular your IP address (from which it derives an approximate location), the device's advertising identifier (on iOS only if you allow it), device information, your interactions with ads and diagnostics. This data is processed even when you play without an account. If you refuse personalisation, non-personalised ads may still be shown. The ad-free option removes the banner.
You can change your mind at any time: in the app, Settings > "Manage ad consent" (when the form applies to your region); on iOS, in your phone's privacy settings, under Tracking; on Android, in your phone's Google settings, under Ads, where you can reset or delete the advertising identifier. Google processes this data under its own rules: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
The website uses local storage and technical cookies that are required for it to work:
With your consent where required, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity also set their own cookies (section 6).
The app stores your sign-in session (in the system's secure storage), your settings and your guest progress on your device.
To run, Pokequizz relies on the following providers, which process some data on our behalf or, for advertising and sign-in, under their own rules:
We do not sell your data.
The database is hosted in the European Union. Yuna Analytics is established in Morocco, from where the service is administered. Several providers are established in the United States or may process data there: Google, Apple, RevenueCat, Expo, Sentry, Cloudflare, Resend, Stripe, Microsoft, Discord, Meta (Facebook) and Twitch. These transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for certified providers, or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses included in their data processing terms.
The processing of your data is governed by Moroccan law no. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, whose application is supervised in Morocco by the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP). If you are in the European Economic Area (the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object, in particular to processing based on our legitimate interest. You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting past processing. To exercise these rights, write to contact@pokequizz.com; we reply within one month. You may lodge a complaint with the CNDP (www.cndp.ma) and, if you live in the European Economic Area, with the data protection authority of your country (the CNIL in France).
In the app, open the Profile tab and tap "Permanently delete my account". On the website, use the deletion page (sign-in required). Without access to your account, write to us. Deletion is immediate and permanent. On iPhone, if you signed in with Apple, the Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked. Deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription: cancel it in your Apple account settings. Your current subscriptions on the website are cancelled automatically. Orders are kept with no link to the account (see section 8).
Pokequizz is intended for people aged 13 and over. In some countries, parental consent is also required below a higher age for processing based on consent, such as personalised advertising (15 in France). If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, write to contact@pokequizz.com and we will delete it.
Traffic between the website, the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed and bug report screenshots are stored in a private space.
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website, the app or regulations. The date at the top of the page shows the last revision.
